Michael J. Garcia
Medparalegal was started by Michael J. Garcia. As a nurse, he brings over 25 years of experience not only from direct patient care and clinical practice but also as a nurse manager. Mr. Garcia’s skills were acquired from working in the care settings of nursing homes, home care, hospice care, rehabilitation care, and in hospitals. In addition to professional nursing, he has worked as an Administrator, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Case Manager (UM/QA). He has hundreds of additional hours of nursing and healthcare related training and formal certifications including WCC (Wound Care Certified), DAPWCA (Diplomate American Professional Wound Care Association), and also in Critical Care. Michael Garcia has also obtained paralegal education completing a general practice paralegal program and receiving certification from Kaplan College's ABA approved paralegal program. Even further, Mr. Garcia has completed advance law classes through the University of Texas at Brownsville. Mr. Garcia has extensive paralegal experience in litigated matters and in trials. In California, he operated his own Legal Document Assistant practice and serviced clients independently within his scope of licensing. Combing Mr. Garcia’s nursing education, legal education and experience, allows him to examine and summarize medical and related litigation from an insight and perspective that very few people are able to provide. Mr. Garcia remains current in practice, both by ongoing continuing education and actively working in the medical and legal field. Mr. Garcia can be vital if your case contains any type of medical component.
